History
The club was established in
1997 after a small group of dads decided to form a football
club to give their sons a chance to play competitive football. The main
teams came from a group of boys who trained at Alexandra Park
on a Saturday morning.
Epsom Dynamos F.C was formed
from this group of players and
 they were
accepted at Old Walcountians Sports Ground in Woodmansterne to
play their home
games. Over the
years the club has grown, finally fielding 19 sides from U7 to U16 with over
200 active playing footballers.
Over the years, the clubs
affiliation with Old Walcountians has grown with several members of
the Epsom Dynamos Committee now representing the
football section on the main Old Walcountians committee. To cement our
relationship with the Association the committee proposed that
Epsom Dynamos should change their name to AFC Walcountians at
the start of the 2005/06 season. AFC Walcountians was then formed in time for
the 2005/06 season.
