AFC bounced back from their first defeat of the season to beat league leaders Chessington 6-2. AFC started strongly, with two well-taken Steve Scola headers putting us 2-0 up after 20 minutes. Chessington got one back on the half hour mark against the run of play, and a fine Matt Scola save kept AFC ahead going in to the break.
Chessington equalised soon after half time, but AFC then stepped up the pace with some great attacking football. Sam Grosser scored two, first converting a penalty won by Mike Eglon to restore the Counts lead, before he curled one in from the edge of the box. Dara Obakin came off the bench to grab a brace, putting the game out of Chessington’s reach and moving the Counts closer to the top of the table.
