A seesaw game saw a below-par Walcountians share the spoils with Oxted and District to pick up a point on their return to league action. A scrappy game saw neither side create too many chances in the opening 20 minutes, but it was AFC who took the lead when for the second time in as many weeks Ben Macey opened the scoring with a superb long range strike that gave the Oxted keeper no chance.
Jack Farthing saved well when the Oxted striker was through on goal to keep the lead intact, but an equaliser came when the Oxted striker again found himself through on goal. A last ditch tackle from Harry Scola was not enough to clear the ball completely, and the forward finished neatly in to the far corner. AFC found themselves in good positions but the end product was poor, and they were made to pay when the same striker put Oxted in front before half time when he delicately lifted the ball over Farthing when slipped through on the edge of the box.
Walcountians improved in the second half, with debutant Aidan Hawkins impressing at the back. However, it took until 15 minutes from time to find the equaliser when Luke Rodgers managed to get in behind the defence and square for substitute Dara Obakin to hammer home from six yards. With a winner in mind AFC were dealt a hammer blow when an Oxted break saw their centre forward break through and smash the ball in to the net to complete his hat-trick. There was still time for an equaliser, though, when three minutes from time Sam Grosser beat the defender to the ball and was brought down in the penalty area. He dusted himself off to slot past the keeper from the spot, meaning an entertaining game finished 3-3.
