Match Report
Walcountians deservedly fell to their first defeat of the season with a well below-par performance against Doverhouse Lions. On a very difficult surface AFC had the early share of the possession but struggled to create any real chances before falling behind when the Doverhouse striker got in behind and lifted the ball over Chris Carpenter.
AFC had a good penalty shout denied and a goal disallowed for offside before the break, meaning they remained 1-0 down at half time. After the interval Walcountians again struggled to test the opposition keeper and were the victim of two well-worked breakaway goals, both finished confidently by the Doverhouse forwards, to fall to a very disappointing 3-0 defeat.
