Match Report
AFC Walcountians hit double figures for the second time in as many games as they came out 14-0 winners against AC Malden. Superior from the first whistle, it still took AFC half an hour to break the deadlock, with the woodwork and AC Malden keeper maintaining parity until then. A mazy run and fine finish from Sam Grosser opened the floodgates, though, and by half-time Walcountians found themselves five to the good. Grosser doubled his tally, Ryan McMorrow continued his fine goalscoring form, and there were strikes from George Harrington and Ryan Thomas.
The second half picked up where the first finished, with a superb long distance effort from Ryan Thomas making it 6-0 just minutes after kick off. The one-sided half saw a further eight goals for AFC. Sam Grosser finished the day with four, whilst Ryan Thomas added another two to complete his hat-trick. George Harrington and Luke Rodgers finished the day with braces, before Harry Scola and Tom Armstrong also got their names on the scoresheet.
A resounding away win ahead of some tough upcoming games, the first of which is an away trip in the Surrey Intermediate Cup to Chiddingfold FC.
