RESPECT is a continuous FA programme and its goal is to allow our boys and girls to play football, our referees to officiate and parents and supporters to watch football without being abused, mocked, insulted, jeered, physically assaulted, unnecessarily criticised, pushed too hard, driven to tears or laughed at for trying. Some strong words and expressions which I am pleased to say do not relate to AFC Walcountians and I hope will never be the case.
As we embark on a new season, let us all remember why we are here – to watch our children play football in a safe and enjoyable environment. As a FA Charter Standard Club let us ensure that we fully advocate the RESPECT initiative at all times.
AFC Walcountians is part of the Walcountians Sports Club and we are privileged to enjoy such superb playing, training and social facilities. Please do make use of all the amenities that are available during the season as this is your club so do make the most of the facilities on offer.
Expectations are always high at the start of a new season. From the Under 7s up to the Under 16s, I wish all our teams the very best for 2010/2011 and in advance thank everyone associated with the club for the efforts that will be made during this coming season. Peter Chmielinski Chairman
